Who is as-Siraat?
الصراط As-Siraat is a non-profit da’wah organisation based in South Wales, UK. Founded in 2008, our aim is to spread the pure message of Islaam to the whole of South Wales. We are a non-partisan organisation, we are not affiliated with any groups, Islamic organisations or mosques.
One day we will cross As-Siraat, The Bridge over the midst of Hell, which the first and the last (of the people) will pass over. It is thinner than hair and sharper than a sword. On it there are hooks, claws, and barbs. The believers, as Prophet Muhammad sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallaam, explained, “Will pass like the blink of an eye, like the lightning, like the wind, like the birds, and like the fast horses and camels. Some will be saved, some will be lacerated then set free, and some will be thrown into the Fire…” [Saheeh Muslim, V. 1, Hadeeth #352]
What can we do to be of those who pass As-Siraat (the Bridge) like lightning? How can we attain the ultimate goal of Al-Jannah (Paradise) and be forbidden An-Naar (the Fire of Hell)?
As-Siraat aims to spread the correct understanding of Islaam that will lead us to such an amazing achievement in the next life. May Allah help us in this and guide us.
Our objectives are to:
- Encourage Muslims to return to the Qur'aan and the authentic traditions (Sunnah) of the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallaam and to understand them according to the way of the early righteous scholars of Islaam. Warn Muslims against various idolatrous practices (Shirk), religious innovations (Bid'ah) and fabricated traditions falsely attributed to the Prophet sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallaam which continue to distort the beauty of Islaam and hinder the advancement of Islaam.
- Create an awareness of Islaam and engage with the community to clear the misconceptions that portray a negative image of Islaam. Invite non-Muslims to Islaam as their way of life through innovative and classical methods.
- Provide support for new Muslims. We hope to achieve this through providing basic knowledge of Islaam, give emotional support and be a means to help them integrate within the Muslim community.
By Allaah’s Permission.
